Buying Commercial Property in Surrey

November 17, 2011 by Gareth Hoyle

Despite the recession firms selling commercial property in Surrey have remained fairly busy. This is because a lot of the growth that is still taking place is happening in the capital and the counties that border it. Surrey sits on the southern border of Greater London, so has many advantages over other parts of the UK. Not least of these is its great transport links.

Transport Links Make Commercial Property in Surrey Viable

The county of Surrey is within 20 to 50 minutes of the Greater London area no matter how you choose to travel. Most of the towns in the county have their own stations all of which have links to London’s main stations of Waterloo, London Bridge and Victoria from which onward travel to the rest of the UK is possible.

By road the county is connected to the rest of the UK by the M25, M3, M23, A3, A21, A33 and A331. If you are manufacturing something you can quickly get it to the ports of Southampton, Portsmouth and Dover meaning that you are within a 5 or 6 hour journey of the European market as well as the whole of the UK.

The county is also well connected by air being on the doorstep of both Heathrow and Gatwick international airports.

These great transport links are the main reason doing business in the county is such an attractive proposition for many firms. By being located in the county you are ensuring that your customers can get to you easily and you can reach a huge array of potential clients.
