Casino loyalty points

September 29, 2010 by Mary Smith

Las Vegas casinos have used bonuses to entice players – old and new alike – to invest in their businesses for many years. Such rewards are one of the oldest tricks in the book that companies use to lure new or repeat business. It is a great tactic to try because of one simple fact – it works very well to reward players.

Casino loyalty points are only one of a number of strategies that companies can use to increase the number of people to whom they can sell their goods or services. These strategies are not the core of the business offering; these strategies are an additional offering that complements the rest of the things that the company presents to their buying public.

Online casinos, for one, need to work harder than casinos that operate on land: these casinos do not have hotel rooms that they can rent out per night, nor do they have whisky or whiskey to sell. Online casinos need to be as innovative as possible when it comes to the way that they operate their business model.

One of the ways that these casinos attract some of the better, if not the best, players is through programmes that allow the patrons to imagine themselves as VIPs. Not all casinos offer such loyalty programmes. Some of these programmes operate on the basis of ‘invite only’, while others allow anyone to become a member, whether there is a fee to join the programme or not. They then receive casino loyalty points, among other benefits, which they can use to play at the casino. Some systems are tiered, which means that there are different levels of reward – bronze, silver, and gold are three such typical reward levels that casinos may employ to reward the members who spend time, money and effort at their sites.

Not all casino loyalty points are dependent on the player or players winning. Some casinos afford the points to any player who plays at their site. A certain number of credits get the player 1 loyalty point. All casinos have their own rules on how players may ‘cash out’ their rewards.
