The Benefits of Villa Holidays

January 12, 2011 by Mary Smith

The winter chill is abundant, but don’t let it get you down – now’s the perfect time to start planning that all-important summer holiday. The lure of the beach is hard to resist and just imagining being by the sea is enough to get through the winter months, but why not give regular hotels a miss? Villa holidays can be the perfect alternative, and here are just a few benefits of opting for them.

•    Space. When you’re in a villa you’re not confined to a single hotel room, making it the ideal choice for families or simply for people who don’t like to be cooped up. There’ll be all the rooms necessary for total comfort, and many villas in Spain, Portugal and similar areas come complete with pools for even more luxury.

•    Privacy. Being in a villa offers far more privacy than you’ll ever be able to find in a hotel. You’re free to do as you see fit without hotel staff or other guests watching your every move, and a lot of the time that can be invaluable. There’s also no need to share a pool or any other area that would normally be “public”, allowing for total control to keep things much more private and family-centred.

•    Schedule. You can keep to your own schedule when you’re in a villa, meaning there’s no need to get downstairs to breakfast at a certain time and no mad rush for the poolside chairs. The whole holiday will be far more enjoyable and laidback, creating the perfect summertime break.

These are just a few reasons that villa holidays are so popular, and there are sure to be many more besides. They ultimately allow for total relaxation and can offer the ideal holiday, so anyone wanting to find the perfect break would be well-advised to consider them.
