Branded watches

September 28, 2010 by Mary Smith

Brands have evolved since their origins – cattle farmers used to brand their cattle to distinguish them from someone else’s cattle. Brands now tell us a significant amount about the person who buys them. We might be able to guess – with surprising accuracy – what their outlook on life is just by seeing which brands they endorse. Do they value reliability, youthfulness, or do they eschew all brands and opt only for non-labels? Some people also prefer to wear only brands that create shoes, watches or handbags. These people fell in love with the company that sells the shoe, watch or handbag and only wear their items, nothing else from any other company.

Branded watches are no different, and this is especially true in this age of cell phones, iPods and other sources that help us to know when our next meeting is due. There’s something to be said for someone who prefers to hold onto the glamour that a watch, and especially a branded watch, afford them. Some people are happy using a cell phone to tell time; a certain section of us prefer to use our branded watch instead.

DKNY watches

There is a large variety of DKNY watches that appeal to women. There is a smaller variety of men’s watches in our selection. These watches appeal to someone who aspires to living a well-ordered life. Such a person loves the simplicity of a DKNY watch but they also identify with what DKNY stands for: energy, that New York spirit, and consistency.

Fossil watches

The Fossil watch company has been around since 1984 and has been producing timepieces of great quality since then. The watches have a look that’s gleaned from previous decades’ style guides. Philippe Starck, who is one of the most well-known designers, has designed a line of watches for Fossil. These watches capture the ethos that Fossil lives up to: stylish, quality and rich in detail.

Tag Heuer watches

These watches were born to decorate the arms of motor racing legends. Tag Heuer watches have been replicated but never matched: it’s impossible to match the finesse, feel and look of this brand. The company is celebrating its 15oth birthday in 2010.

Guess watches

Guess watches from Deals Direct focus on the youthfulness of the brand. The watches all have eye-catching designs and they used new types of materials to design their latest range of watches. The watches are made in Switzerland and are of high quality.
