Making a PPI claim can be time consuming.  You will need to follow the correct procedures and keep chasing up your claim.  PPI claims forms can be confusing sometimes as well so it is important to get as much help as possible.

Get Your Facts Right

When you are filling in PPI claims forms you need to make sure you know all the facts.  You need to provide accurate evidence on this form to have any chance of success.  Lenders will need to know exactly why you think you have a good case to make a PPI claim.

* You must have access to your original loan and PPI insurance contract.  These important documents will provide information on how your loan was set up.
* Your loan contract will tell you important details such as when the loan started, what PPI policy you agreed to and so on.
* If you do not have your original contract then you may be able to apply to your lender for a new copy.  Do this before you put in any PPI claims.

Build a Strong Case

There are several very strong bases for PPI claims. If any of these apply to you then make sure you mention this when filling in your claim for:

* You were retired or out of work at the time of taking out the PPI product
* You were not informed the PPI was voluntary or offered a chance to opt out.
* You were not informed PPI was included in your loan
* You were not informed of the true costs of PPI (including any interest)
