Join the rest of us in the 21st centry with corporate e cards.

December 31, 2010 by Mary Smith

Have you noticed what’s going at work? Apart from the new photocopier arriving on the second floor and the prices going up in the cafeteria. I’m talking about more a general, universal trend. Email communications. And not just the everyday messages that we send, but cards too. Corporate e cards are replacing traditional physical ones more and more. First it happened with marketing materials – newsletters and brochures. Now cards too. Well why not, saves all the hassle of sending all those business Christmas cards.

Time and financial pressures are rampant in the modern work place. We work long hours and never seem able to quite get on top of our workloads at the best of time. Then we get given extra things to sort and organise. Like those blasted business Christmas cards. Do you remember last year? Sad with Adele from reception stuffing envelope after envelope until you’d nearly gone mad. Trudging home at the end of the day nursing multiple paper cuts and cursing your boss. No wonder you don’t get excited with each opening of the Advent calendar window. It’s just a countdown to more Yuletide marketing misery.

Well, put your foot down this year. Tell your boss it’s time to join everyone else in the 21st century and send corporate e cards instead. No envelope stuffing, no wasting valuable time and absolutely no paper cards. You never know, you might enjoy helping to design them and when it comes to sending them. Well, I’m sure your poor little overworked fingers just about have enough life left in them to hit return.

E cards can be interactive and way more fun than traditional ones. Add in some Christmas themed animation or some music for those with sounds cards and speakers. By using your imagination they can become just as much of an event as anything your customers receive in the post.

So it’s that time of year again. Ah the joys of the run up to Christmas in the office. Tinsel hanging from your computer monitor, being forced to wear an amusing cracker hat and smile, no matter what. Dancing with flirty Sally at the staff party. But hey, don’t dwell too much on having to put up with all that enforced jollity. There’s important work to be done. Well OK, not really, but there are a few tasks to take care of. Ones that can have a lasting positive impact on your customers. How about taking the time to send some business Christmas cards? “ Where will I find the time”, I hear you cry. I’m not talking about licking hundreds of envelopes and stamps. Who do you think you are? Santa? Instead, you make a nice business gesture by sending corporate Christmas e cards instead.
