Sending Important Parcels

January 12, 2011 by Mary Smith

When it comes to sending important items, it doesn’t matter whether you are a business or an individual, you need some kind of reassurance that it is going to get there on time and in tact. One problem with using one of the larger delivery companies is that, with such a large potential client base, if a package goes astray or gets damaged, or gets forgotten about in the back of a sorting room for some time, then it doesn’t really matter to them too much about whether or not they lose one or two repeat customers.

It may seem strange to think, but you are much more likely to get a reliable, fast and good value for money service from a smaller delivery service. This is because, they will be much more likely to value your custom, wanting to do their best to impress, and will be part of a strong team, as opposed to a faceless cog in a gigantic wheel.

Not only will you most likely get a better and more reliable service with a small delivery service, but if you look in the right places, you will also be able to often find that the services are much cheaper. For instance, if you look on sites such as anyvan.com, you will be able to find couriers who have space left in their van that are heading to the same area your delivery needs to go. These couriers will therefore be able to offer you that free space at a much reduced price.

So if you have an important item that needs to be delivered on time and in the same condition it left you, then think about smaller, local companies rather than the names you might already know. You could find you could save both money and face.

Encourage staff to cycle in with safe secure storage areas.

January 12, 2011 by Mary Smith

Getting to work can be a real mission. Especially if you work in a big city like London. You could drive in, but unless you leave stupidly early, you’ll end up stuck in horrendous traffic jams for hours. Some days just arriving at work seems like an achievement in itself. Never mind actually doing something positive once you’ve got there. Public transport is the better option, but even then you have to put up with crowded conditions. If you leave at the the start of the tube line or the bus route, you might get a seat. If you get on later on the journey, it’s standing room only. So no wonder more people are choosing to cycle in. It’s green and good for you. Those miles spent cycling into work soon add up. [Read more…] about Encourage staff to cycle in with safe secure storage areas.
