Then I think this is an article you will need to read. I am also glad to share with you the methods I use to consistently get good grades. However the methods that I show you do require you to invest in time and effort to make this work.
First step read your question carefully and highlight the important points. Make sure you know what the questions are asking. If you are not sure please consult your lecturer or classmates. I would suggest clarifying with the lecturer.
Once you know what you need to required of your essay it is now time to do your research. Your research should be broken up into 3 main areas, textbooks or journals written by authority figures within the subject; textbooks within the subject; and academic journals. If you really need to, please use the internet only as your last resort.
Next photocopy only the needed material for your essay. Often it is not required for you to read the whole book. Highlight the parts that are important for you. Do make side notes or comments for your essay. For example, if I am writing on Solution Focus Brief Therapy on the topic of miracle question, I will get at least 3 authority textbooks on the subject and at least 10 journals on the subject. And for the topic of scaling, I will do likewise find 3 authority textbooks on the subject and at least 10 journals. If you organized yourself well by identifying on what you need to write for your essay earlier on your research will be a piece of cake.
Lastly go through all your written thoughts and highlighted notes organize and arrange them accordingly to the way you want to present it in your essay. And start writing your paper. This will also be easier to do referencing later on. So there you have it, no secrets, (stop looking for secrets sometimes it is) just pure common sense, working smart and you should do fine for your essay.
In order to get fantastic grades as you do your research and reading you need to learn, absorb the information and gain some knowledge then apply critical thinking to your work. This can only happen and improve as you gain more experience and knowledge along the way.
