Plans for airport parking near Leeds Bradford have had to be delayed due to the wintry conditions that have also been causing chaotic scenes in locations all over the country.A site used for airport car parking near Leeds Bradford has been in use without planning permission for almost a decade, according to recent news reports in the local media. And the planning permission to permit the car park to continue operating has been delayed due to the adverse weather conditions that have been affecting many parts of the country recently.

The meeting was due to take place with planning officers and committee members of Leeds city council last week, however this had to be cancelled due to dangerous icy conditions on the roads both in the city and on roads coming into the city. It has now been rescheduled to take place next week and officers will also be discussing plans for 236 new homes to be built in Otley. They will also be discussing plans to rebuild a school in Yeardon.In recent weeks, much of the United Kingdom has been gripped by chaotic icy and wintry conditions that have affected many of the countries airports and main roads.

Hundreds of motorists were left stranded over-night on Scottish roads as the authorities struggled to deal with the heavy snowfall and thick ice on the roads. The BBC also reported from Leeds on a number of occasions showing the crawling traffic at various times of the day.Many airports have also been affected by the recent cold snap as passengers in Gatwick, Edinburgh, Belfast and Leeds struggled to get to their destinations.
