A promotional gifts supplier has noticed record orders from commercial clients for certain branded promotional products since coming into the cold, winter months recently.

Promotional gifts supplier, Shirtworks has noticed a rising number of orders for branded and promotional ice scrapers. The retailer has actually noticed an increase in enquiries and orders being placed during the recent cold spell experienced across the United Kingdom.

A company logo can easily be printed onto the ice scrapers and it is hoped that when scraping the ice off the car in the morning, this image will stay in the person’s head for the rest of the day.

At the end of the day, advertising and marketing a product is about making the brand visible and easily recognisable to the consumer.  Practical products such as ice scrappers in cold, icy weather can only reinforce this.

Speaking recently, Arron Harnden, managing director of Shirtworks said that although the ice scrappers are not the most flashy or glamorous of gifts, they are still very popular.

He said: “The branded ice scraper has been the hit of the season.

“Our corporate clients are choosing them above other seasonal corporate giveaway items.”

When speaking about the reasons why these products are so popular, he claims it is because these are items that will be kept in the car the whole year round. He also claims it would be a great promotional item for a company that offers winter car checks or home heating for example.

However, you don’t have to buy the original cartridges. No matter what you may have heard about dodgy ink ruining perfectly good printers, you will only run into this problem if you buy compatibles from disreputable sources. The real compatible cartridges will have been meticulously created to ensure they not only do not cause your printer any harm, but that the colours will mix perfectly with the originals to create the exact same print quality as a full set of originals would.

In fact the only difference with a compatible ink is that it hasn’t been made by the original manufacturer of the printer. Other than that the quality will be equal to or in some cases better than the originals. Even if there are threats of voided warranties this is not something that can be enforced and doing so would actually be illegal on their part.

So whilst they might not be carrying out atrocities, don’t let the printer manufacturers get away with criminal prices. Buy compatible instead and see just how cheap printing can be.
